During the court hearing at the Eastern District Magistrates' Court this Monday, the prosecution requested to postpone the JPEX scam case to next year for case file organization, and the request has been approved. A group of social media influencers involved in the case are accused of endorsing JPEX and acting as public spokespeople for the platform's offline cryptocurrency trading stores. Their next court date is set for March 16. They face multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit fraud, fraud, inducing others to invest in virtual assets through deception or reckless means, and handling property known or suspected to be proceeds of prosecutable offenses. Of the eight defendants appearing in court, seven have been granted bail under the original conditions. The individuals involved include influencer turned lawyer Lin Zuo, video blogger Chen Yingyi, former TVB artist Zheng Junxi, and fitness coach Zhao Jingxian. Zheng Junxi has not applied for bail and remains in custody.
