The reason is simple: platforms provide much less traffic support to old accounts compared to new ones, and the system will prioritize pushing content to your existing followers. If follower retention and conversion are not ideal, subsequent traffic will gradually shrink, creating a vicious cycle. On the other hand, new accounts can receive platform traffic bias in the early stages. Therefore, the safest approach is to re-register a new account and start cold from zero.

Damn, all my old account fans are gone. Now I finally understand why. Is restarting a new account really the only way out? It feels like abandoning the old account is such a loss. My old account is dead, and the platform just treats you as if you don't exist anymore. Starting fresh with a new account sounds simple, but how does it actually work in practice? This is the platform forcing us to all-in on a new account. Having more fans actually becomes a burden, ironic. Rather than aging an old account, it's better to start fresh—this logic is spot on. Fans of the old account are like zombie fans, becoming more competitive than ever. I just don’t believe a new account can turn things around, but I don’t want to keep throwing money at the old account anymore. This platform's algorithm is really unfair.

This logic sounds convincing, does the platform really "disfavor" old accounts? What if the old account gets banned? The new account might not be stable either. The key still depends on content; whether followers stay or leave depends on quality. It’s easy for a new account to take off but also easy to crash; who bears the risk? The old account set is indeed a trap. I’ve fallen for it before. Having many followers can actually get you stuck. The new account can grow because the algorithm is hungry; the old account has long been well-fed, and the platform isn’t worried. It's ironic—gaining can sometimes mean losing. This logic is tough: cold starts actually make it easier to break out of the circle. If the old account's followers are just zombie fans, it's even worse, directly dragging you down. But whether someone should abandon their account and start over depends on the account’s own quality. There are quite a few examples of accounts being spoiled by the platform itself.
