Bloomberg: PNC Partners with CEX to Launch Bitcoin Trading Services for High-Net-Worth Clients
On December 9, according to Bloomberg, high-net-worth clients of PNC Financial Services Group Inc. can now trade Bitcoin directly through their investment accounts, achieving the initial goal set by the Pittsburgh-based bank when it announced a partnership with CEX Global Inc. in July. This move marks the latest example of a traditional financial institution offering digital asset trading services on its own platform—a space still primarily dominated by cryptocurrency exchanges like CEX. Brett Tejpaul, Co-Head of Institutional Business at CEX, stated that through the partnership with PNC, CEX provides brokerage services and technology integration, enabling clients to trade Bitcoin in any amount.
