What type of trader are you? The quick guide to choose your strategy

Abstract generation in progress

No two traders trade the same way. Some open and close positions within minutes, others wait months. Here is the reality: choosing the wrong trading style is like trying to climb a mountain with scuba gear.

Day Traders: Open and close everything within the same day. They thrive on price flow in stocks and forex. Basic strategy: Range trading (buy at support, sell at resistance) or HFT with algorithms executing hundreds of operations per second.

Swing Traders: Keep positions open for days or weeks. They combine technical analysis (charts, patterns) with fundamental analysis (news, reports). They look for clear trends or wait for the price to return to its average after a correction.

Position Traders: The long-term players. They buy an asset and let it rest for months or years. They follow macroeconomic trends and seek undervalued assets with real potential.

Scalpers: The most impatient. Profits in seconds or minutes. They need low-latency platforms, nerves of steel, and extreme discipline. They thrive on order book data and automatic algorithms.

The real question: How much time can you dedicate? How much risk can you tolerate losing? The answer defines your path. Some are not born for scalping, others get bored waiting months. Knowing your profile is the difference between consistent gains and losing money.
