Research shows that investors in the UAE have a strong demand for digital assets.

A study conducted by the Swiss software company Avaloq focused on the investment attitudes of high-net-worth individuals in the UAE. Despite the enormous demand for digital assets in the region, 39% of surveyed affluent clients hold Crypto Assets, yet only 20% of investors choose to use traditional wealth management institutions. The survey was conducted from February to March 2025 and included 3,851 investors and 456 wealth management professionals. The results show that 63% of investors have changed or are considering changing their wealth management institutions, partly due to some unresolved questions they have about Crypto Assets. Akash Anand, head of Avaloq in the Middle East and Africa, pointed out that as Crypto Assets gradually develop into an asset class, private banking client managers increasingly need to meet the needs of clients whose service levels are generally inadequate. Therefore, traditional wealth management institutions are eager to enhance their ability to provide Crypto Assets services.
