Soybean prices are rising between 5 and 6.5 cents this Friday at noon. The national average from cmdtyView shows an increase of 5 cents, standing at $9.90 3/4. Corn futures are down ten cents at $2. Soybean oil futures are up between 164 and 175 points so far today.
This morning, the EPA granted full exemptions to 63 of the 175 pending petitions from small refineries for the 2016-2024 period, with another 77 partial exemptions granted. 28 petitions were denied and 7 were deemed ineligible.
The weekly export sales data shows that commitments for soybeans from the previous harvest reach 51.058 million metric tons, which represents 100% of the USDA export projection and is below the average sales pace of 103%. Sales from the new harvest have reached 5.855 million metric tons, with no Chinese purchases, representing a decrease of 22.4% compared to the same time last year.
The last day of the ProFarmer Crop Tour completed the data in Iowa, with an average soybean pod count of 1,384.38, which is 5.49% higher than last year and 12.9% above the three-year average. In Minnesota, the pod count was 19.9% higher than its three-year average and 20.38% greater than the previous year, with 1,247.86 pods in a 3' by 3' section.
The International Grains Council estimates that global soybean production for the 2025/26 marketing year will reach 430 million metric tons, an increase of 2 million from the previous month. Global soybean stocks rose by 2 million to 85 million metric tons, while consumption increased by 1 million.
November futures are at $10.39 1/2, up 5 cents,
