Hut 8 Expands Bitcoin-Backed Credit Line to $130 Million, Lowers Fixed Interest Rate to 9%
On June 24, it was reported that Bitcoin miner Hut 8 announced that it had reached an agreement with an exchange to expand the bitcoin-guaranteed credit line from $65 million to $130 million, and extend the maturity to July 16, 2026. The new agreement is expected to feature a fixed interest rate of 9.0%, which will significantly reduce the cost of capital compared to the previous floating rate of 10.5% to 11.5%, providing Hut 8 with an additional $65 million in non-dilutive capital to support its energy infrastructure and growth plans for its Bitcoin mining business.
