苹果计划利用生成式人工智能加速定制芯片设计

Gate News bot 消息，据Cointelegraph报道，科技巨头苹果公司正在考虑利用人工智能来加快其设备所用定制芯片的设计。

据路透社周四援引一段演讲视频报道，苹果硬件技术高级副总裁约翰尼·斯鲁吉（Johny Srouji）上个月在比利时举行的ITF世界大会上发表演讲时表示，公司学到的一个重要教训是，需要使用最先进的工具来设计芯片。

斯鲁吉表示：“EDA（电子设计自动化）公司在支持我们应对芯片设计的复杂性方面至关重要。生成式人工智能技术有望在更短的时间内完成更多的设计工作，并能大幅提高生产力。”

报道称，业内最大的两家电子设计自动化公司——Cadence Design Systems和Synopsys——也一直在寻求将人工智能添加到其产品中。

斯鲁吉在演讲中概述了苹果定制芯片的开发历程，从早期的iPhone处理器到最新的Mac台式电脑和Vision Pro增强现实头显所用的芯片。

他的言论表明，苹果希望首次使用人工智能技术，以加快其工程团队的芯片设计速度。然而，据 AppleInsider 报道，苹果多年来一直在其设计中以某种方式使用人工智能技术。

AppleInsider 称，多年来，苹果一直依赖第三方 EDA 公司，这些公司已经在芯片设计中运用了人工智能和机器学习技术。

该报道还补充称，新思科技 (Synopsys) 表示，使用生成式人工智能 (Generative AI) 可以帮助创造新的芯片设计方法，而这正是苹果所依赖的。
