South Korea's first KRW-pegged stablecoin KRW1 launched on Avalanche.
Korean cryptocurrency custody service provider BDACS announced on Thursday that it has launched KRW1 on the Avalanche network, a stablecoin fully backed by the Korean won.
BDACS stated in a press release that it has successfully completed the full proof of concept for the technical feasibility of KRW1 (PoC). The company added that it chose Avalanche due to the reliability and security of the network in public sector use.

According to Cointelegraph, South Korean crypto asset custodian BDACS has launched the first Korean won-backed stablecoin KRW 1 on the Avalanche blockchain after successfully passing the proof of concept. This stablecoin is fully collateralized by Korean won held at Woori Bank.
