Bairui Dexin New Year Outlook: Upgraded US Stock Rating, 'Superpowers' such as AI to Benefit US Companies
BlockBeats News, on December 6th, BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, raised its rating on US stocks to 'overweight' in its New Year outlook, even though the S&P 500 index is at a historical high, it is more optimistic than its previous recommendation. BlackRock advises to maintain a 'risk preference' for US stocks, which is contrary to the views of Bank of America strategist Michael Hartnett. Hartnett suggested investors bet on international stocks in 2025 as he is concerned that the so-called 'US exception rally' is coming to an end. However, BlackRock does not agree with this view. BlackRock Investment Institute wrote in its 2025 outlook, 'US stocks continue to outperform global peers. We believe this situation may continue.' BlackRock has increased its bet on the ongoing pump in the US stock market, driven by the belief that 'superpowers' such as artificial intelligence will disproportionately benefit US companies. BlackRock stated, 'We believe that artificial intelligence, as a superpower, will benefit US stocks more, which is why we maintain an overweight position, especially compared to international peers such as European stocks.' The company also believes that the tax cuts and loose regulatory environment that the incoming Trump administration may implement should support the continued rise of the US economy. (Jinse)
