根據彭博億萬富翁指數的計算，如果 Tether 的估值成功達到 5,000 億美元，該公司董事長 Giancarlo Devasini 的身價將接近 2,240 億美元。成為全球第五大富豪，僅次於馬斯克、Larry Ellison、祖克伯 (Mark Zuckerberg) 和貝佐斯 (Jeff Bezos)，並超越股神巴菲特。
61 歲的 Devasini 曾在義大利接受醫生培訓，並當了兩年的整形外科醫生，後來對這份工作感到失望。他開始做電子產品生意，包括 DVD 和記憶體晶片。
在他對加密貨幣產生興趣後，投資了交易所 Bitfinex，最終成為實際負責人。 2014 年，該公司的一位高層與 Brock Pierce 和 Reeve Collins 聯手創立了 Tether。而 Devasini 後來收購他們持有的股份。據之前報導，富比士估計其擁有 Tether 47% 的股份。
