【Caixin Global】 XPeng’s self-developed “Turing” chip has seen its application scope further expanded. On the evening of April 2, XPeng (NYSE: XPEV / 09868.HK), through its mass-market model MONA M03, launched a revised version. Among the mid- and high-trim versions equipped with intelligent driver-assistance capabilities, the computing-power chip is switched from NVIDIA solutions to the company’s in-house self-developed solution.

MONA M03 was released in August 2024, targeting the 110,000 to 150,000 yuan price range. After the model went on sale, it received strong feedback, and it has been the biggest “contributor” in helping XPeng move out of its slump that began in the second half of that year. The company previously disclosed in October 2025 that 14 months after M03’s launch, cumulative sales surpassed 200,000 units.
