The current prediction market suggests there is a 61% chance that Ethereum will lose its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency by 2027, a significant increase from 17% at the beginning of the year. The direct threat comes from Tether (USDT), which could replace ETH with just a 25% drop in Ethereum's price. Currently, Ethereum is trading at $2,049, and as a major collateral asset, it faces structural selling pressure. Its spot ETF has shrunk by 65% since October 2025. Although BNB, XRP, and Solana are strengthening themselves through upgrades and promotion, Tether's market cap has grown to $184 billion, and KPMG's latest audit report further solidifies its position as the most likely challenger.

ETH-0.81%
BNB-1.64%
XRP-2.15%
