$TAO Is Trending, What About $VIRTUAL ?
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that this year I’ve been emphasizing AI + Crypto a lot. This is almost the only race in crypto still attracting attention from both on- and off-market capital flows.
Among them, the two names I highly regard are Bittensor ($TAO) and Virtual Protocol ($VIRTUAL).
TAO is currently in a clear upward trend. Before the explosion, I analyzed and expressed very positive views about this project. Now that everyone is talking about TAO, I don’t need to say more.
Today, I want to focus on VIRTUAL.
AI + Crypto – The Remaining Race
Currently, if we talk about the narratives still gaining interest outside the crypto market, it’s only AI + Crypto.
However, within the VIRTUAL ecosystem, few projects truly maintain continuous momentum. Occasionally, new waves emerge — for example, recently AI Agents, especially “robot” agents, have caused some old names to resurface.
But the key question is:
Do these projects have stable revenue?
Do they have clear profit models?
Is real capital flowing in?
Right now, it’s hard to say for sure.
Virtual’s Advantage Lies Where?
If you see Virtual just as a launchpad platform, there aren’t many technical barriers. It has the advantage of being early, but that’s not enough to become a long-term “economic moat.”
What I value more isn’t the launchpad.
What’s notable is the ACP protocol and the ambition to build an AI economy centered around AI Agents.
If Virtual can:
Standardize how AI Agents interact and trade with each other
Create an economy where agents can generate, exchange, and optimize value
Build a self-sustaining ecosystem
… then entry barriers will be extremely high.
And that’s what’s worth valuing.
Following the Development of AI
One positive aspect I see in Virtual is: they don’t try to create a separate narrative but closely follow the actual development of AI.
AI evolves → they build infrastructure accordingly.
This approach isn’t flashy or hyped, but quite healthy.
Regarding Price and Expectations
In the short term, price stagnation is very normal.
TAO, before entering the trend, also traded sideways for a long time. The market doesn’t reward you for being “right,” it only rewards when capital flows return.
If:
The fundamentals are solid
Tokenomics have no major flaws
The team continues to build in the right direction
… then price appreciation is just a matter of time.
Conclusion
In AI + Crypto, I am currently focusing on two names:
Bittensor (TAO) – already in the trend
Virtual – in the long-term foundational stage
Narratives can change cyclically. But if an infrastructure supporting the AI economy is formed, it won’t just be a narrative — it will be a new economic layer.
What should we do? Stay calm, patient, and allocate capital wisely.
