Gate Live’s subscription feature is available to eligible creators, allowing streamers to offer premium content to fans via subscription. Once subscribed, fans can unlock exclusive content in Live (Square) and enjoy customized perks and interactive privileges provided by the streamer.
1. Why should you enable subscriptions?
- Flexible pricing: Streamers can freely set subscription prices based on content value and adjust subscription plans to meet the needs of different tiers of fans.
- Additional revenue stream: Subscriptions provide a steady and predictable income, with 100% of subscription earnings going directly to the streamer.
- Fan engagement: The subscription feature grants fans exclusive rights and interaction opportunities, increasing their attention and loyalty, and helping you build a stable, long-term core community.
2. Subscription activation requirements & rules
Activation requirements:
- Identity verification: You must complete identity verification before setting up [Exclusive Subscription].
- Level requirement: To enable [Exclusive Subscription], your streamer level must be VIP ≥ 1.
Rules explanation:
- Subscription privileges: Users who successfully subscribe to “Me” can view exclusive content published by “Me,” including exclusive posts, subscription-only streams, etc.
- Earnings settlement: Subscription earnings are settled every 30 days and will be automatically credited after settlement.
3. How to enable the subscription feature?
(A) Web activation process
1. Access the subscription settings page:
- Log in to your Gate personal account, click [Community] in the top navigation bar, then [Square]
- On the [Square] page, click [My Profile] in the left sidebar, then click [Creator Center] on your profile page
- In the [Creator Center] page, click [Subscription Plan] on the right to enter the subscription configuration page
2. Configure your subscription plan:
Set your [Subscription Plan] according to your content positioning and operational needs, then click [Confirm Configuration] when finished.

Renewal discount: You can set no discount or a discount from 10% to 90%

Auto-renewal benefits:
- Users who select auto-renewal will enjoy the discounted price you set
- Subscribers can choose whether to turn off auto-renewal after their subscription expires

Pricing adjustment rules:
- Price increase: Existing subscribers’ auto-renewal price remains unchanged
- Price decrease: Existing subscribers will renew at the latest price after their subscription expires
3. Publish exclusive subscription content:
When starting a live stream, check [Subscription Exclusive] so only subscribers can reserve and watch the stream.
*You must enable the subscription feature to use the “Subscribers Only” viewing setting.
(B) App activation process (please update your app to v6.6 or above)
1. Access the subscription settings page:
- Open the Gate App, tap [Live] in the bottom navigation bar to enter Gate Live
- Tap the [Avatar] in the top right corner to enter [Personal Profile]
- On the [Personal Profile] page, tap [Settings] (gear icon)
- Select [Subscription Exclusive] to enter the subscription configuration page
