Most Fed regional bank officials are not optimistic about a rate cut in December.

[Fed majority regional Fed voting members are not optimistic about a rate cut in December] Fed officials have recently been vocal about discussing monetary policy. “Fed mouthpiece” Nick Timiraos stated that currently, four voting regional Fed presidents (Boston Fed's Collins, St. Louis Fed's Bullard, Chicago Fed's Goolsbee, and Kansas Fed's George who voted against the rate cut decision in October) have not actively pushed for another rate cut in December. Jin10 note: The Fed rotates four regional Feds as FOMC voting members each year. Starting next year, the aforementioned four officials will lose their voting rights in the FOMC. The New York Fed holds a special status with permanent voting rights.
