The U.S. government previously experienced a “shutdown” for 35 days from the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019. Earlier reports today indicated that according to Polymarket data, the probability of the “U.S. government shutdown ending after November 16th” has risen significantly to 44%, which may mean that the U.S. government will struggle to “open” in the short term.
