I've seen too many people rush into the crypto market with only one thought in their heads—“This time, I’m going to turn my life around.”

And the result? The more you want to get rich quick, the more mistakes you make; the more mistakes you make, the more reckless you become. In the end, your account is wiped out, and you’re left numb.

I started with just a few thousand USDT, struggling and learning the hard way. My account grew over time, not because of any extraordinary talent or a streak of dumb luck.

It all came down to one thing: rhythm.

And a set of rules that I stuck to no matter what.

There’s something I’ve told my friends countless times—

Want to make money? Don’t rush to earn—first learn how NOT to give your money away.

Want to go far? First, control that restless heart of yours.

After all the pitfalls and losses I’ve experienced over the years, I’ve finally distilled three survival lessons:

**🔸 Rule One: Don’t chase thrills with a small bankroll**

When your funds are limited, the worst mindset is to go all-in.

Back then, I set a fixed position size for every trade, and I always asked myself two questions before opening a position:

If I’m wrong, can I handle the loss?

Where’s my stop-loss line?

If the market wasn’t clear to me, I skipped the trade—only took trades I felt confident about.

Trading isn’t about who’s faster—it’s about who can control themselves.

**🔸 Rule Two: Only add positions when there’s momentum**

Once my account grew to nearly ten thousand, I started gradually increasing my position size.

Note, it wasn’t about blindly adding leverage, but following the trend steadily—adding little by little when the trend was clear.

It’s okay to miss out on the whole move, but you must catch the juiciest part of the trend.

**🔸 Rule Three: Pocket your profits as soon as you make them**

As my account grew, I developed the habit of regularly locking in profits.

Not because I was afraid of losing it all, but because I was afraid of getting cocky.

Once you get cocky, your hands start making reckless trades.

Those who survive longest in this market are the ones who can keep their footing.

To be honest, most people lose money here because of just three things:

1. Chaotic position management

2. Stop-losses are always just “next time, for sure”

3. You picked the right direction, but emotions led you to play your hand wrong

I’ve seen too many beginners:

Super enthusiastic for the first three days, confused by day five, and account blown by day seven.

But I’ve also seen people who stuck with it for three steady months, growing their small funds to numbers they never thought possible.

That transformation—from confusion to clarity, from aimless tinkering to steady account growth—is even more impressive than the profits themselves.

This path isn’t easy; going it alone, hitting walls is the norm.

But if someone can light the way ahead, at least you can avoid a few wrong turns.

If you’re still in the exploration phase, talk to others, share experiences, and avoid mistakes. Stay clear-headed and walk this path steadily, not hastily.

Honestly, stop-loss is something that can be simple or difficult. The people around me who lost the most were always those who just couldn't bear to take a small loss, and in the end, they lost tens of thousands of yuan in one go.

This theory sounds pretty accurate, but to be honest, the hardest part is still execution. After a streak of losses, all rationality goes out the window.

Honestly, just the stop-loss rule alone can discourage half the people, but unfortunately, no one listens.
