Bloomberg: The Fed has never been so divided on long-term interest rate planning.
On December 2, according to Bloomberg, after lowering the Intrerest Rate by more than 1 percentage point, Fed officials are now contemplating where to stop - only to find that internal opinions are more divided than ever. Over the past year or so, expectations about where the Intrerest Rate should ultimately land have seen the largest divergence since at least 2012 (when the Fed began publishing relevant estimates). This has also led to an unusually public split: whether to cut rates again next week and what actions to take thereafter.
