# An AI faculty has appeared at Moscow State University.

Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (MSU) has established a faculty of artificial intelligence. Preparatory work is being carried out for the first enrollment of students, the rector of the institution, Viktor Sadovnichiy, told reporters.

The Research Center in the field of artificial intelligence, the AI Institute, and the "Intellect" fund operate at MSU.

"The new faculty will allow for the integration of all these elements into a single system, which will ensure comprehensive training of personnel for this field, as well as contribute to the wider implementation of neural networks in various areas of research. The first cohort of students will take place next year," the press service of Moscow State University clarified.

On September 1, 2023, a supercomputer MSU-270 was launched at the university, aimed at the development of AI systems and research using technology.

It has previously become known that Russia does not plan to implement AI regulation in the next two years.
