Google is working on their very own L1.
Unlike most of the recent moves we’ve seen from Stripe, Circle, or Robinhood, Google isn’t going down the EVM route. They’re building their own tech stack from scratch.
Tbh, I think Ethereum and Solana will be fine given the positions they’ve already cemented in the industry, mostly thanks to their strong distribution, liquidity, and the talent pools they’ve attracted.
But this feels massively bearish for all the pseudo-shiny new generalist L1s out there like Aptos, Sui, Monad, you name it.
