Having been in the crypto world for many years, I have witnessed the ups and downs of this market. As a 28-year-old from Hunan, I started with an initial investment of 100,000 yuan, and now I have expanded my account size to 15 million. This process has not been smooth sailing, but it has given me a profound understanding of the essence of the crypto world — it is a market driven by emotions.
In this field full of opportunities and risks, I have summarized a few key investment principles:
First, "seek progress while maintaining stability". Do not be tempted by short-term small profits, nor should you risk betting your entire fortune. Many investors have stumbled on this point, either missing out on significant market movements or suffering heavy losses during market fluctuations. The key is to be patient and wait for the best entry opportunity.
Secondly, "Mainstream is King". Focus attention on those mainstream coins that have been tested by the market, have already dropped significantly, and are starting to slowly recover. Do not be attracted by those novel but unstable new coins. I usually start by establishing a bottom position with 10% of my funds, and consider increasing investment once the coin's trend stabilizes.
Third, "go with the flow". When the market trend is clear, consider increasing your position to 20%-30%. Many people are obsessed with buying the dip, but I prefer to wait until the trend is established before adding to my position. While this may mean missing the lowest point, it significantly reduces risk.
Finally, "take profits in a timely manner." In every wave of increase, I will first recover the principal and half of the profits. The remaining part can continue to be held, but a profit-taking line must be set, and once reached, it should be decisively cashed out. Only the profits that are truly secured are the real gains.
By strictly adhering to these principles, I not only achieved my own wealth growth but also helped a friend recover from a loss of over 600,000 within six months, even having enough surplus to purchase a family car.
In the crypto world, there are many smart people, but those who can truly succeed are those who can control their emotions and maintain patience and calm. When most people are chasing highs and selling low, staying rational and thinking independently often allows one to seize opportunities that others overlook. This is my insight after years of struggling in the crypto world.
