Gate News 消息，3 月 10 日，Bitwise 首席投资官 Matt Hougan 在最新备忘录《How Bitcoin Gets to $1 Million》中表示，比特币价格未来有可能达到 100 万美元/枚。他认为，从全球"价值储存"市场角度来看，比特币正在逐渐与黄金竞争数字价值储存资产的地位，长期潜力将更加清晰。
Hougan 指出，目前全球价值储存市场规模约 38 万亿美元，其中黄金约 36 万亿美元，比特币约 1.4 万亿美元，仅占该市场不到 4%。他认为，许多投资者低估比特币潜力的原因在于忽视了价值储存市场本身的增长速度。例如，2004 年美国首只黄金 ETF 推出时，全球黄金市场规模仅约 2.5 万亿美元，如今已接近 40 万亿美元，复合年增长率约 13%。
如果未来十年价值储存市场继续以类似速度扩张，其规模可能达到约 121 万亿美元。在这一情景下，比特币只需占据约 17% 的市场份额，价格就可能达到 100 万美元。Hougan 还指出，比特币现货 ETF 已成为历史上增长最快的 ETF 产品之一，包括哈佛大学捐赠基金与阿布扎比主权财富基金在内的机构投资者也已开始配置比特币，为这一前景提供了基础。
