The Brazilian government hopes to offset the revenue losses by levying a new minimum tax on high-income earners. The minimum tax rate for high-income earners will apply to those with annual incomes exceeding 600,000 reais, with the tax rate gradually increasing with income, reaching a maximum tax rate of 10% for those with annual incomes exceeding 1.2 million reais.
