On October 7th, PANews reported that Astar Network announced on its official X account that it is upgrading with the help of Polkadot SDK. Astar will seamlessly transition to Agile Coretime when the current lease ends, and purchase Block space as needed. This change will make the project join Polkadot and connect to Astar faster, more conveniently, and more affordably. During this period, 350 million ASTR Tokens (5% of the initial supply) will be burned, as these Tokens are no longer needed in slot auctions. This update promises to achieve real-time changes without the need for fork or downtime.
