On September 11th, Jinshi Data reported that Skyler Weinand, Chief Investment Officer of Regan Capital, stated that the August CPI "met expectations, allowing the Fed to continue cutting interest rates at its September meeting, albeit by a smaller magnitude of only 25 basis points." He said that this data has opened the door for the Fed to address the continuously rising unemployment rate. Weinand expects the Fed to cut interest rates five to six times in the next year. CME's FedWatch Tool shows that after the inflation data was released, the probability of a 25 basis point rate cut by the Fed next week increased from 71% to 85%, while the probability of a 50 basis point cut decreased from 29% to 15%.
