Wall Street Journal: Apple restricts employees from using external AI tools such as ChatGPT

Apple has restricted the use of ChatGPT and other external AI tools within the company as it develops its own similar technology, according to a document reviewed by The Wall Street Journal and people familiar with the matter. Apple is concerned that employees using external programs “may reveal confidential data,” the document states. The company is also known to have told employees not to use Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot.
