In May this year, India and the UK completed negotiations and reached a free trade agreement. According to the agreement, 99% of the goods exported from India to the UK will achieve zero tariffs. Among the goods exported from the UK to India, the tariff rate on 90% will be reduced, and 85% of the goods will achieve zero tariffs within 10 years. This agreement is the first significant bilateral trade agreement that India has signed with developed economies in over a decade.
