Wu learned that Fuel officially announced that its native Jeton FUEL will be launched in the next two weeks. FUEL is an ERC-20 Jeton based on the Ethereum Mainnet, with a total initial supply of 10 billion tokens, 20% of which will be allocated to the community. FUEL will be released to the community based on Fuel Points program and incentive testnet, with the community portion being 100% unlocked upon launch. Fuel emphasizes that 51% of the total supply will be used for community, ecosystem, and development, and the undistributed Jeton will be used to support the establishment of the sorting network. In addition, the Jeton of the team and investors will be linearly unlocked within 24 to 48 months and staking will be prohibited during the lock-up period. Previously, Fuel completed an $80 million financing led by Blockchain Capital and Stratos in September 2022.
